Description

This course aims to allow learners to experiment with Craft skills to produce projects whilst working safely in the art studio.

This course is for those currently attending SL Arts & Crafts 2.
  

WHAT WILL I LEARN ON THIS COURSE?
Learners will: 1. Use at least 2 different techniques in your projects 2. Produce at least 1 completed project 3. Use at least 2 different appropriate materials (paint, card, paper, wool, fabric, thread etc.)

IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR ME?
This course is suitable for adults with learning difficulties or disabilities. Learners must be able to follow instructions and be ready to work as part of a group and individually. This course is for those currently attending SL Arts & Crafts 2.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS COURSE?
You will be expected to take part in helping to clean up after yourself as this is an important part of being in a sewing studio and working independently as well as following health and safety practices. You and your carer (if applicable) will need to be suitably dressed for the studio and wear closed toe shoes. You will need to be able listen to your tutor and follow instructions about health and safety.

WHAT IS THE ATTENDANCE POLICY
In order to get the most out of your course you will need to attend as many sessions as possible. We recommend at least 90%. If you do have a holiday booked during term time please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcomes. If you are unavoidably ill or unable to attend please contact 01634 338400 so that we can let your tutor know, and so they can send you any work you may have missed

HOW ARE IT/DIGITAL SKILLS USED AND ENHANCED ON THIS COURSE?
Learners will be able to look at images and videos online to research items to create.
