What will I learn on this course?
1) Create at least 2 one design plans for 2 basic projects 2) Use basic maths to determine the amount of materials required for one project in detail 3) Transfer the design to wood to finish and complete at least two items

Is this course suitable for me?
This course in an excellent starting point for beginners who want to explore basic woodworking skills or for those with a little experience who want to revisit skills.

Is there anything I need to know about the course?
Please bring your own apron/ overall. You will need to follow the rules of the wood work studio to maintain Heath & Safety procedures and keep yourself and others safe.

Your tutor can talk to you about upcoming courses. Medway Adult Education works with many partners locally such as Mid Kent College and the University of Kent; information about their courses can be found in our studios.

Attendance Policy
In order to get the most out of your course you will need to attend as many sessions as possible. We recommend at least 90%. If you do have a holiday booked during term time, please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcomes. If you are unavoidably ill or unable to attend, please contact 01634 338400 so that we can let your tutor know, and so they can send you any work you may have missed

How are digital skills used and enhanced on this course
Learners can also do their own research using the internet / google to explore recipes outside of class time.
