Description

Whether you would like to learn new creative skills or to investigate the possibility of a new art-based career, MAE Community Learning courses can provide you with a stepping stone to progress

Join us in our professional art studios, in Rochester, for this relaxing and fun workshop where we will make a fabulous wet stencil applique image using layers of masking tape and acrylic paints; cutting away layers with craft knite to reveal your image.

This enjoyable class will cover the foundational skills in using wet stencil applique and acrylic paints to create layered images. You will then create a wet stencil applique image using the demonstrated techniques
  

What will I learn on this course?
Learners will: 1. Use basic line and shape creation with at least one stencil. 2. Show an understanding of layering in at least 1 piece. 3. Experiment with wet stencil applique technique in at least 1 piece.

How are digital skills used and enhanced on this course
Information technology may be used to introduce skills, techniques, and the work of other artists along with safe internet usage. Whilst you do not need any IT skills to enrol on this course, please do speak to the tutor if this is an area you would like to explore.
