Whether you would like to learn new creative skills or to look into the possibility of a new writing-based career, MAE Community Learning courses can provide you with a stepping stone to progress.

Creative Writing 3 further develops skills in writing non-fiction, fiction, scripts and poetry. Complete beginners in creative writing are also welcome to join this course.
Through discussion, practical exercises and group activities, participants will learn and apply the techniques of “community journalism” and develop an understanding relevant issue including ethics.
What will I learn on this course?
By the end of this course, learners will:
1. Be able to write and edit their own news and feature articles using appropriate journalistic techniques.
2. Be able to conduct a journalistic interview in an ethical manner.
3. Have some understanding of how to create a newsletter or alternative media online or in print.

Suitable for beginners and those with some experience.
Is there anything else I need to know about the course?
There will be assignments to complete between classes, these should usually take 2-3 hours to complete each week.
