Description
This craft course is aimed at a mixture of local native speaking residents and ESOL learners wishing to extend their English Language skills whist engaging in a social craft activity. Learners will participate in a group hand sewing project.
This course is suitable for learners who wish to engage in a group activity within a social setting.

WHAT WILL I LEARN ON THIS COURSE?
Learners will:
Learners will learn the skills of applique and hand embroidery to create decorative panels for exhibiting at our centres.
1. Introduction to the hand embroidery – Demonstrate the related H&S rules for the tools and equipment.
2. Experiment with sewing skills.
3. Use the skills to produce at least one example of the craft.
4. Explore the environmental impact of one relevant craft material.

These craft sessions are suitable for all levels, beginner to experienced crafter.

Please be aware that whilst this course is practical in nature some sessions will include theory and professional related training such as H&S, risk assessments, public liability etc
Resources and materials will be supplied, although if learners have their own, they are welcome to bring that along.
