Description

This craft club is aimed at those who want to engage with craft learning in a social setting, to improve socialisation, wellbeing and mental health. A range of crafts will be covered throughout the year, starting with this 5-week course.

These craft sessions are suitable for all levels, beginner to experienced crafter.
  

What will I learn on this course?
1) Introduction to the craft 2) Demonstrate the related H&S rules for the tools and equipment. 3) Experiment with the practical skill with guidance. 4) Use the skills to produce at least one example of the craft. Use of Information Learning Technology: Students can research themes and images as an extension task at home if they feel it will be appropriate to their learning. Websites and designs will be suggested.

Is there anything else I need to know about the course?
Resources and materials will be supplied, although if learners have their own, they are welcome to bring that along.

What could I go on to do after this course?
The tutor will talk more with you about this over the course. Medway Adult Education run a range of creative courses- many at the Rochester Hub, and also at other partner venues.
