Free Festive Pottery: Christmas - Themed Items & Employment Skills Course (D)
If you are aged 19 and want to develop your literacy, numeracy and employability skills, you can access free courses through the Multiply programme.
Join our professional tutor, in our historic studio and be guided through the process of designing, making, pricing and selling ceramic items. Practical skills will be used alongside numeracy and literacy skills, to develop items within a budget. All work will be priced and sold on the last session of the course, with learners developing the pricing and marketing materials for the sale.
Improve your confidence across a range of skills that could help you into paid employment.
What will I learn on this course?
1. Use basic maths skills to create at least 3 items to sell.
2. Use literacy skills to create at least 1 item to market / advertise your sale.
3. Identify at least 3 different transferrable skills that could help you into paid employment / develop you as a maker or seller.
Is this course suitable for me?
Suitable for beginners and those with some pottery experience.
Is there anything else I need to know about the course?
No open toed shoes in the pottery studio.
Long hair must be tied back, please bring your own hair ties.
All tools and resources are provided for learner use. Please bring your own apron (and take home & wash each week).
Will there be additional costs?
All items produced must be for sale, learners may wish to purchase items at the end of course, tabletop sale.
