What will I learn on this course?
Learners will: 1. Explore how at least 2 artists express personal, cultural, and social identities through their work. 2. Analyse at least 2 representations of Art and Identity. 3. Explore at least 2 artistic techniques inspired by Art and Identity. Learners will also: Engage in at least two practical activities inspired by various movements and artists who focus on identity, such as Frida Kahlo, Cindy Sherman, and Kehinde Wiley.

Is this course suitable for me?
This course in an excellent starting point for beginners who want to explore art appreciation as well as those with more confidence.

Will there be additional costs?
A pack of tools and materials will be provided as part of the course. Learners may wish to bring their own tools and materials to classes but please do not purchase any until after the first session and discussions with your tutor.

Attendance Policy
In order to get the most out of your course you will need to attend as many sessions as possible. We recommend at least 85%. If you do have a holiday booked during term time, please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcomes. If you are unavoidably ill or unable to attend, please contact 01634 338400 so that we can let your tutor know, and so they can send you any work you may have missed.
