Course Description
This qualification aims to develop the knowledge and skills required to manage personal money and to anticipate future needs and wants. The course helps learners reduce financial difficulty and exclusion and demonstrates the importance of shopping around when buying financial products and services.
This qualification aims to:
• provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to manage personal money and to anticipate
future needs and wants
• provide motivation towards further study and increased options for employment
• reduce financial exclusion
• allow learners to use knowledge gained in own personal financial circumstances.
The objectives of this qualification are to help learners to understand the:
• importance of shopping around when buying financial products and services
• need to plan finances and review the plans regularly
• differences between short, medium and long-term planning and saving.

Is this course suitable for me?
It is to develop awareness for financial products and services such as savings and loans. They will also gain knowledge of how to manage their personal finances through budgeting and managing their income and expenditure.
Is there anything I need to know about this course?
Learners will be expected to attend all sessions and be prepared to complete any work set by the tutor.
You will need to attend with a pen and paper to use for note taking.
