Course Information Sheet

Description

Medway Adult Education, in collaboration with Medway Council, offers a Supported Learning programme for local residents with learning difficulties and disabilities, featuring creative and practical subjects aimed at empowering learners.

Crafts with clay will combine drawing, design, craft and working with clay on a range of tutor led projects. Learners will have opportunity to develop their own outcomes across the projects, but CLAY WILL NOT BE USED EVERY WEEK and some projects may not have a clay based outcome. This is not a pottery course, it is crafts that may incorporate the use of clay.

The courses, which encourage confidence-building and community engagement, alongside practical, creative learning activities.
Each course includes a Learning Support Assistant to assist the tutor, and enrolment requires completion of an Initial assessment interview within the current academic year.

It is possible to start courses throughout the year, and pro-rata payment options are available. So if you see a course has already started and there are spaces on there then it will be possible to join.
